First we would like to welcome you to the FlightBoard Network! Welcome aboard and if you have any questions please contact us feedback . Setting up your site is easy! Using the automated system you can have your FlightBoard up and running in minutes. There are several variables used to customize your board for your website. These variables are passed in the command line and look something like this. NOTE: You may also join any one of the FlightBoards by going to the board you would like to request and looking for the "Webmasters" link. This will create this command line for you automagicly using information you provide. This will be printed on the screen to cut and paste and will also be emailed to you.

<a href="http://www.tradeip.com/sites/tradeip/boards/mainlistingpage.asp?board=fs98& netsitelink=http://www.yourlink.com&netsitename=SiteName& netsiteimage=http://www.yoursite .com/images/yoursiteimage.jpg">Flight Sim 98 IP Board</a> Breaking this down into parts it looks like this.
  1. <ahref="http://www.tradeip.com/sites/tradeip/boards/mainlistingpage.asp?
  2. board=fs98&
  3. netsitelink=http://www.yourlink.com&
  4. netsitename=SiteName&
  5. netsiteimage=http://www.yoursite .com/images/yoursiteimage.jpg
  6. ">Name of link to display on your site</a>
1 - This is the link back to TradeIP.Com, This is used to establish the board at the site to hit the database where all other IP's have been entered from all other sites. This is necessary to have the "Networked" FlightBoard. The question mark "?" at the end is required to pass variables to the TradeIP.Com Server.

2 - Board=, This variable is used to determine what FlightBoard to connect to. Changing this variable to something else other than what TradeIP has given you code for is just fine. If you have an FS98 Board, You can change this to "cfs" and it will load the cfs board instead. Changing this in the code without signing up at TradeIP.Com will not allow you to get updates to code. We suggest any board that you want to register, register it through TradeIP.Com so we will have your information on file and are able to send you updates to code and or directory changes.
EXAMPLE: board=fs98&
EXAMPLE: board=cfs&
3 - netsitelink=, this is used for your return address, Where you want your users to return to, once they leave the FlightBoard. This can be anything you would like it to be as long as it is an active link. Many people use a "Miltiplayer Page" and have this location set to that html file.
EXAMPLE: netsitelink=http://www.yoursite.com/mplayer.htm&
EXAMPLE: netsitelink=http://www.yoursite.com/&
EXAMPLE: netsitelink=http://www.yoursite.com/multiplayer/myfiles/boards/play.htm&
4 - netsitename=, This is the name of your site, a note on this is that you cannot have spaces without using this "%20", netscape does not understand spaces. This is a big one and we recieve countless emails regarding this. I would suggest testing your link in both browsers. If you use a different browser that we need to make compatable please contact us.
EXAMPLE: netsitename=mysite&
EXAMPLE: netsitename=The%20Best%20Website&
EXAMPLE: netsitename=The%20Multiplayer%20Connection&
5 - netsiteimage=, This is your image you want posted at the top of your FlightBoard.
EXAMPLE: netsiteimage=http://www.yoursite.com/maingraphic.gif&
EXAMPLE: netsiteimage=http://www.yoursite.com/images/mymultigraphic.jpg&
EXAMPLE: netsiteimage=http://www.yoursite.com/images/mplayer/mplayer.gif&
6 - This is the end of the string, Your last variable will not include the "&" this is used only to connect two variables together. The entire string together forms a link with the standard <a href="site"></a>.
What is the & your asking? this is used to connect the code together, You need the & in between your variables to make them work
Connecting your Variables in the A HREF string. your string would look something like this without the link information, In the following examples you will see basic structore of the command line. This is not a working link is to show you how to connect your string to make it function.
EXAMPLE: <a href="http://www.tradeip.com/sites/tradeip/mainlistingpage.asp?board=fs98& netsitename=Billys%20Website">Link</a>

So What Next?
